Sometimes there are good reasons to eat in hotel restaurants: bad weather, exhaustion, lobster bisque (in this particular case)
One always goes prepared for the worst: hideous upholstery, matching tapestry vests on waiters, laminated menus. However, M. and I were not prepared for the muzak soundtrack that accompanied our bisque in our latest hotel restaurant dining destination. It was as though at any moment our chairs would tilt back and we would be submitted to major dental surgery.
*For non English-speakers: A root canal is commonly known to be an excruciatingly painful oral surgery
