I am excited neither for the mud nor for having to publicly appear in hideous footwear, but for the flowers that are popping up all over now that the snow has melted.
Mud season pro tip: When you return home from overseas and think that getting outside to clean up the garden will be a wonderful way to get over your jet lag, make sure you don't inadvertently do four and a half hours of squats after your long and relatively inactive winter, leaving you unable to climb up and down stairs for the following three days.
