Not To Be Neglected

Last week's quotation of the week comes from a lunch that I had with my wannabe-playa friend:

"[Bebemoche], to me you are not a skank"

Now what does one say to that sort of compliment? It took a couple of minutes just to process the idea that someone had used the word "skank" in front of me. And was the "to me" really necessary?
