Sometimes the most brilliant ideas arise out of ignorance, other times out of genius, and every once in a while out of a magical confluence of both.
Not too long ago, our French friend N. took Amtrak into town to visit. When asked about whether or not he was able to enjoy some of the views along the way, he commented that Stamford really didn't look as nice as he had expected. While we have all admired the Purdue Pharma building, that comment didn't quite seem to fit, and, at that moment, we realized that he had mistaken Stamford for Stanford.
Brilliant.
He can't be the only one making that mistake. We must seize this opportunity to found Stamford University.
