The Pitt vs. Reality: Both Staffed By Actors

Have you been watching the HBO series The Pitt?  It is rather like a reboot of the 1990s series ER.  However, a lot has changed in our medical system since then.  Good for you if you are comfortable at home watching The Pitt and still able to romanticize what an ER visit will be like:

The Pitt	Reality
No wait to be seen	Five hour wait in crowded waiting room
Seven Doctors (MDs) simultaneously and competently treat patients in the ER.  Maybe you will see Noah Wyle	One Physician’s Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (DNP) with limited training attempts to treat patients using a flowchart, asks to be called “Doctor”
Staffed by actors	Staffed by actors (PAs and DNPs pretending to be Doctors*)
